PhoneGPTYour conversations and files
PhoneGPT generates replies on your phone. Conversations, chat instructions, settings and downloaded models are saved in the app’s storage on your device. If you attach a text file, a copy is saved with that chat and read on your phone.
PhoneGPT does not upload your conversations to its own servers or use a remote analytics service. Separate chats do not share their history. There is no required account. PhoneGPT’s own cloud backup feature is not currently available.
Voice typing
Voice typing asks for microphone permission. A downloaded voice model turns your speech into text on your phone. You can review the words before sending them as a message.
Recordings are temporary. The app tries to remove them after use, cancellation or an error. An interruption may leave a recording until a later cleanup. Deleting a file does not guarantee it cannot be recovered.
Android backups and device access
Android backup is enabled for the current app. Depending on your phone, settings and backup provider, some app data may be backed up or restored. Check your device’s backup settings if you want to control this.
PhoneGPT relies on Android’s storage protection and does not add its own encryption. Keeping processing on your phone does not guarantee protection from every form of device access. Use a screen lock and consider who can access your phone and backups.
Downloads and external links
Downloading a model connects your phone to services such as Hugging Face. These services receive your IP address and information about the file requested. Downloading a model does not send your chat to the model host.
Opening external links also connects you to those services. Their own privacy policies apply. Read the Hugging Face privacy policy and the GitHub privacy statement for more information.
Deleting data and installing updates
Deleting a chat removes that conversation and its saved attachment copies. Other chats, downloaded models and your original files remain. Delete models separately in Models. Uninstalling PhoneGPT or clearing its app data removes app-owned local data.
Copies already held by Android’s backup provider or your email service are separate. Manage those through the relevant service. Updates are installed manually and may keep existing data, but this is not guaranteed.
Visiting this website
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, with another copy on GitHub Pages. The hosting provider processes technical information such as IP addresses and requests to serve and protect the website. GitHub logs and stores visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes, even if they are not signed in. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy, and GitHub’s website-hosting notice and privacy statement.
PhoneGPT has not added visitor analytics or an advertising tracker to this website.
Writing to Parth
When you press Send message, your name, reply email, topic and message are sent through Formspree to Parth’s inbox. Formspree processes the submission and may retain a copy and technical information to deliver messages and help prevent spam. See Formspree’s privacy policy.
Parth uses what you share to read and respond to your message. The message may remain in Formspree and the recipient’s email service. Please do not include sensitive information or private chat content. Using this form does not upload your PhoneGPT conversations. Deleting a chat does not delete a message already sent through this form.
Questions or requests
Use the contact form for privacy questions or requests about a message you sent. Parth cannot access your local chats through PhoneGPT; use the app or Android settings to remove those.
